Meet Our Counselors

Meet Our Mental Health & Wellness Team

 Symone Earl
 Client Service Coordinator

Timothy Griem, LISW
Clinical Manager

I am a licensed independent social worker. I have been providing mental health therapy to families, couples, adolescents, older persons, and children for over twenty years. I love what I do. I have met people in therapy who have endured much and accomplished some amazing things. I like seeing the talent and abilities in people I meet with. I enjoy creating a relaxed atmosphere for clients where we just kick back and talk about both what is going well and what they would like to have different. My office is unique in that I have many puzzles and drawings on the walls. I tend to have successful outcomes in working with children on the Autism Spectrum. The best part about being a practicing clinician is when I have gotten to know and indirectly be a part of a client's life periodically over a span of many years; somewhat like a family doctor does. Perhaps our paths will cross?

Beth is a Licensed Master of Social Worker and obtained her MSW from University of Northern Iowa with a concentration in Trauma-Informed Care.  Beth brings to Horizons over 12 years of experience in the field of social services and has worked with a variety of populations, including adults and children with serious mental health issues, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals living with chronic medical issues.  She presently enjoys providing therapy for a range of concerns, but has a special passion for working with survivors of trauma.   Beth utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy, with added elements of Mindfulness.  Beth approaches therapy from a client-centered, strength’s based perspective and uses the empowerment model and trauma -informed care to guide her practice.  It is Beth’s firm belief that the individuals, couples, and families who come to her for therapy already have the solutions within themselves to move past their issues and views her role as simply a guide in this process.

Charlie White, t-LMHC

It is my goal to understand the challenges you want to focus on and to illuminate your strengths as a means to reach the goals you set. I aim to be there for my clients, and provide therapeutic interventions and support that are unique to each individual's strengths and challenges. My approach is based on client-centered and cognitive-behavioral frameworks, and is primarily strength-based and solution focused. These tools have been chosen based on my belief that all people are able to create positive change in their life, and seeking therapy is a big step in that direction.

Lindsey Piper, LMSW

I am trained in EMDR therapy and use an eclectic mix of other modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness. My background in crisis intervention, sexual abuse, and domestic violence helps me work well with survivors of trauma. The truth is that you already have the tools and solutions you need inside of you. My job is simply to guide you during this journey. If you think I might be a good fit for you, I would be honored to meet with you and explore how we can work together to help you achieve wellness.
